Grant County Fair Junior Livestock Auction 2022 (Lots with PIctures of kids and animals will be posted after judging is finished Friday so keep watching to bid. You can register and have information saved and ready to bid come Friday night and Saturday.)
It is the buyer's prerogative to determine how an animal that is purchased at this auction is used. The Livestock Auction Comittee encourages buyers to send animals through the carcass shows, wich allows the exhibitors the opportunity for total evaluation awards. Processing plants participating in the Grant County Carcass Show are Bloomington Meats II, Blommington; Weber's Processing Plant, Cuba City; Fennimore Butcher Shop, Fennimore; and Avon Locker Plant, Darlington. The buyer has the option of marketing through regular market channels wich means through our local sale barns. For rabbits and poultry, it is the seller's responsibility to slaughter and deliver the animal to the buyer. Processing plants will not process rabbits or poultry. Delivery must take place by October 1, 2022, unless other arrangements have been made before the auction. Processing plants may be willing to purchase some animals, but arrangements need to be made before the sale. Be sure to let the clerks know what you wish to do with your animal when singning the sale slip. Payments will be sent to Royal Bank.
