2022 Mustang Adoption Challenge. Horses and Burros from the Oregon BLM (Bureau of Land Management) have been gentled and trained over the last 100 days. Online bidding begins now. Live Auction will begin September 4 at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Albany, OR and online bids will continue to be accepted. All bidders must have an approved BLM adoption application to place a successful bid. With the plight of the wild horse and burros ever increasing, it is even more imperative that we help increase the chances of these beautiful animals to find forever and loving homes. We host a 100 day gentling and training competition, where trainers will showcase their training success and compete for prizes and money. The animals are then either adopted by the trainer or auctioned at the completion of the competition. The money the animal is sold for is paid to the trainer minus $100 for transferring and program fees. Donations towards trainers for support are also accepted through the program and are considered a non-taxable donation.
